However, it contains a historical collection of man's inhumanity to man in the name of religion. Many people have died for their Christian faith. This book was an attempt to chronical their lives and deaths. The stories are disturbing, because their deaths are disturbing and many of them, ugly and violent.
If you are a student of history and religion, you should read this book at least one time. Some of the historical information is not exactly accurate, so do not use this as your final source for information, however, this is a valuable collection of stories to use as a starting point for your research.
